Default Indoor Games, looking for Ideas.

We've had a tremendous amount of extreme cold weather here, an extreme amount of snowfall and I'm running out of ideas on how to keep Danny Boy exercised. We just can not get out side at all except for the dogs to eliminate.

Our usual daily games include,

Fetch, the Wubba, chickens, kittys, cows etc.
Hide & Seek
Tug ropes
The Shell Game
Soccer
Find the hidden toy
Herding a basket of balls
Pick up your toys

Various Ob exercises, long sits, stays finishes. heeling, dumb bell work. etc

Freestyle dancing, leg weaves, spins, circles, back ups, roll overs, leg throughs

Tunnels and jumps in the mini corgi gym

Trade. A Danny Boy specialty, he finds or chews up bits of this and that and brings it to me to trade for a treat.

And when all else fails......go wake up your brother and bug him until he chases you.

I'm fast running out of ideas to keep this pupper busy! What are you playing inside to keep your corgis busy?

Wow Barbara, I get tired just reading your list of activities!

We do various things, but the 2 favorites are the chicken and watching the birdfeeder in the front window seat/watching the squirrels feed (on our sunflowers) in the back windowseat (actually running back and forth to and from the 2 windows).

Our chicken lost his voice over the weekend so Erik performed a little surgery on the guy - fixed!

You mean the chicken's cluck is fixable? I'll have to let Gary know.

Yup, the screw was missing and the battery fell out. You may have a different problem, but open it up and take a look. My guys have a hobby of taking stuff apart and modding pretty much anything.

you could play the muffin tin game- I'll see if I can find the youtube video again. I've been playing with my guys and they love it- it's good practice for nose work too!

you need enough tennis balls for the whole tin, put a good smelling cookie under one of the balls, and the dog needs to take all the balls out to find the cookie! It took Wicca a few tries to understand to use her feet and now she's got it down pat! I'll look for the link!

Muggle just did it three times--one treat at first, then two, then three, and it was way too easy for him. He can just push the balls out with his nose. I used a 12cup muffin tin, with mostly tennis balls but also some small stuffies. He went straight for the treats, and didn't bother with the rest of it.

That's great! We'll have to play that> Aine loves taking things out. I cube toys, egg babies. The duck and chicken will run them ragged! I too got tired just reading your list, barbara! Ours also have cats to herd! I like the idea of herding a basket of balls...

We've had to work this past 2 weeks to wear ours out since The Dog House was closed for daycare. They go again tomorrow!

Wow that's a great game Amanda! It's very similar the the $80.00 wooden one that the dogs tried out at the store. Thanks so much for posting that clip too! We are definitely going to play that one.

And as for my list, we don't play all of those in one day!
